Primitive Robot

Picture
In this project you will create a robot and scenery using primitive shapes such as cubes, cones, and spheres. By the end of this project you will know how to:
  1. Download and install Blender
  2. Navigate around within the Blender software
  3. Add, move and scale objects
  4. Add color and surface materials
  5. Position the camera and lights
  6. Render the model as a photograph

Requirements

First, watch the tutorials below. As you are watching, open up blender and follow along with them so you learn how to do it yourself. Once you've watched the "Modeling" chapter, you can start building your own robot. It should include the following:
  1. At least three different mesh shapes (cube, cylinder, etc.)
  2. A background environment
  3. Color and texture for each object
  4. Modify at least one object (reflective, glass, etc.)
  5. Adjust the lighting so it looks cool
  6. Render out the model as both a still photo and a movie file
